I went to New York for the weekend. My first time ever to the East Coast! Here are some pictures:

I started playing raquetball again. It's so much fun, but Rishad continues to kick my ass. I'll get better.
This girl I've been seeing is now my girlfriend. She's a junior at the UW. It's funny because one thing I read a while ago is that at the age of 25 is the last year that you can still date people from your alma mater.
We have very similar personalities and really match well. It's awesome when after even two weeks you're so comfortable around the person that you think you've known them for years.
The Amazon Rave on Saturday was so awesome. It was so much more fun than any other club because I knew so many people there. It was like a high school dance all over again :) Betina seems to think that we are all back in high school anyway.
Two excellent new albums: Remy Zero - The Brilliant Hum, Basement Jaxx - Rooty.

So much stuff is going on right now. I just met a girl about two weeks ago, and things are going very well. I'm in that initial giddy stage where it's hard to concentrate. Crap. Life is definately more interesting when you have drama in it. If you don't, then chances are you are going to create your own drama out of boredom. I prefer the real drama.
Maybe it's not actually drama -- but having a constant supply of change and uncertanty in my life is what actually makes it interesting. I need something to consume my thoughts. What is the worst is when I get stuck in a comfortable status quo rut -- I just got out of one that lasted about five boring months.
I'm also so happy that I've found so much new music lately. Music has always been something that is really important to me. Having a lot of new good music to obsess over has a direct correlation to my happyness. Right now it's the Remy Zero CD (yes Betina, it's all thanks to you). And of course, I can't stop with the two Pete Yorn songs: On Your Side and EZ. Then there's Nil Lara "Fighting for My Love", and the Nine Days CD
I played the piano for about six years, and I quit when I lost interest. Everyone told me that when I became an adult that I'd really wish that I had kept up with it. I don't know if I regret quitting, but I'd really like to start playing again. But now I have no piano to play on.

Look at me. Actually updating my weblog again.
This has been such an epic week of skiing. I set a new record of four days in a row. Tomorrow it's going to dump up to two new feet of snow. Mmmmmmm. I am in such a good mood today, probably because of the constant endorphine high I've been on.
There has been lots of new music in my life lately -- it's almost an overload. Need a CD burner.

Went skiing at Snoqualmie for the second night in a row -- now must conserve for Whistler this weekend.
I just realized that I haven't had any flying dreams lately. That's right. You may laugh, but there is no better dream than a flying one. You flap your arms and cruise above the trees, occasionally touching down, running, and lifting up again. Skiing is the reason why I haven't had one of these dreams in a while. Yeah. My flying urge is fulfilled with the freedom I feel when I'm skiing.
Scrubs was a bit too serious tonight. The girl in the MRI was hot after all. The ending song was so cool that I did research to find who the artist is: The Shins -- New Slang (mp3). I have to go to Tower tomorrow to buy the CD.

It's been almost a half a year since I actually put a real entry into my weblog. Here it goes.
I'm still undecided on whether I actually want a girlfriend or not. I look at 2001, and how much fun I had and how much I improved my life. It only happened this way because I was single. Still, every once in a while I go on some dates hoping to meet someone cool. This month it's going to be Speed Dating. I gave up on online dating because basically the whole thing is flawed as explained best here. If Speed Dating doesn't work then I'm going to hire someone to stalk, er, set up a "coincidence" with a girl for me.
I really want to see this Cheaters show but it's not playing in Seattle. It's on in Yakima and all these other lesser cities but not Seattle. It's supposed to be a reality show that tracks down people cheating on their significant other and catching them red-handed an confronting them on camera. I know that this stuff is wrong, but I'm just such a die-hard voyeur.
I'm growing impatient at the weather. It has kept me out of skiing for weeks now. Why oh why must you torment me. This weekend it finally looks like I'll be on the slopes once again.
There a so many places I want to travel this year:April: Japan for 1-2 weeks (work in Tokyo office, stay with host family)
August: Denmark with little bro. Also stop in at least London and Paris
???: Ireland, New York, India
Goals for this year:Take language course on Korean or Chinese
Take another month or more of golf lessons from Dave
Take a cooking class at a community college
Move into a two-bedroom apt or condo with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. I just need a dishwasher.

I got back yesterday from San Francisco, where I spent new years. We tasted wines at Napa Valley, walked around San Francisco, learned to play Dance Revolution, and scoped out rice rockets powered by pho.

Wow. It's been a long time since I updated my weblog. Here's a quick update:
- I took a weekend trip to Japan for my birthday because I found a very cheap ticket. One of the more spontanious things I've ever done. Nothing makes you feel more free than flying across the world on a whim.
- On the day I returned, my birthday, I got a bad case of the flu that pretty much took me out for three days
- I've been skiing a lot. Life is good.
- I went to Yakima for Christmas and spent time with the family. This Christmas was much more layed back than usual. The stress of finding presents for everyone is over, thankfully.
- I'm taking off this Saturday for San Francisco, where I'll be spending New Years. There's nothing more fun than a drunken rampage in a city away from home.
- Two days after I get back from SFO, I am getting four wisdom teeth yanked out. At least it's getting me out of jury duty.
